What qualifies

What counts as an
empty property?

We're interested in any London property that appears to have been unoccupied for a significant period.

UNSOLD PROPERTIES
Properties listed for sale but sitting empty for months. Common signs: For Sale board up a long time, no viewing activity, lights never on.
LONG-TERM EMPTIES
Flats or houses clearly vacant for a year or more. Common signs: Post piling up, overgrown garden, boarded windows, no utility activity.
COMMERCIAL SITES
Empty shops, offices or mixed-use buildings with residential potential. Common signs: Shuttered frontage, planning notices, no business activity.

Do I need to know the owner?
Not at all. Just send us the address and we do the detective work — tracing ownership through Land Registry and making contact ourselves. You just need to spot it.
When exactly do I get paid?
Payment is triggered on legal completion of the sale. We contact you proactively to arrange the bank transfer — no need to chase us.
What if Dopizi doesn't acquire it?
The £1,000 is only paid if we acquire and sell the property. If we can't reach the owner or the deal doesn't complete, there's no payment — but also no risk or cost to you for referring.
Can I refer more than one property?
Absolutely — there's no limit. Every qualifying referral that leads to a completed sale earns you £1,000.
How long does the process take?
It varies — tracing and negotiating can take weeks or months, and the sale itself typically takes 3–6 months. We'll keep you updated throughout.
Is this taxable income?
The £1,000 referral fee may be considered taxable income depending on your personal circumstances. We recommend checking HMRC guidance or speaking with an accountant.
